Wynn Lake of Dreams Show Times in Las Vegas: April 2022

Free entertainment choices at the Wynn Las Vegas include:

  • Meandering through beautiful gardens.
  • Shopping at well-known boutiques.
  • Seeing a spectacular outdoor water display.

The Lake of Dreams, a nightly light and music performance, is the most entertaining.

On a three-acre lake at the Wynn Resort, the Lake of Dreams event takes place in front of an 11-story-tall mountain of pine trees.

Trees of the natural variety exist. Some trees were preserved from the old Desert Inn Hotel & Casino and replanted onto the new property by Wynn/Encore owner Steve Wynn.

Also, he built the lake behind a gigantic man-made mountain to ensure that tourists had to physically enter the Wynn resort to see it.

It had been shown to Wynn that millions of visitors were enjoying his performance without ever having to enter his casino via his experience with attractions at his earlier Strip hotels (the Bellagio’s fountains, the Mirage’s volcano, and Treasure Island’s now-defunct pirate show).

Travelers who want to take advantage of the free entertainment will now have to travel through stores, restaurants, and casinos. It’s a win-win situation for everyone involved.

The water show at Wynn Resorts

Despite its brief duration, the performance has all the hallmarks of a Wynn theatrical production: music, lights, water, fire, and a 30-foot giant singing frog. Moreover, the presentation is completely free!

A 90-foot waterfall serves as the show’s centerpiece.

With its lit waterfalls serving as projection screens for the wacky show, it is both peaceful and restful during the day.

You’d have to describe the presentation as a light display, music video, and art performance to describe it. To create the illusion of movement and motion, approximately 5,000 LED lights highlight puppets that move in the water, floating balls, shooting lights, aerial floating figures, and enormous heads that rise out of it.

The 30-foot-long enormous signing frog, which wears a fedora and lip-syncs to Frank Sinatra’s “New York, New York,” may be the show’s most memorable figure.

In 2022, Wynn will open Lake of Dreams.

7 Nights a Week: Beginning at Dusk & Running every half hour until 11:30 PM

The roughly three to five-minute performance runs every half-hour until 11:30 PM, depending on the season and year.

In the Lake of Dreams performance, the 90-foot-tall “Performance waterfall” (as they describe it) serves as a light display and projection screen.

Update for Wynn Lake of Dreams

The Lake of Dreams show at Wynn Resorts will undergo a 14 million dollar upgrade in the summer and autumn of 2020.

Kenny Ortega, the director, and choreographer of “High School Musical,” was in charge of the alterations.

“Space Oddity,” “Born This Way,” and “Side Effects” by The Chainsmokers are just a few of the songs in the new performance rotation, which includes computer-generated dancers and 28-foot tall animatronic “Lady Birds” weighing 17,000 pounds.

The popular Sonny and Cher song “I got you darling” is used in one presentation and floating emoji balls.

Song List for Wynn’s Lake of Dreams

The setlists are subject to change; however, the following songs are currently in rotation:

  • It’s in our nature to be this way.
  • “Space Oddity” by Lady Gaga,
  • “Side Effects” by David Bowie — Chainsmokers
  • New York, New York” by Frank Sinatra,
  • “I Got You Babe” by Sonny and Cher,
  • “Lady Marmalade” by LaBelle

According to the Las Vegas Sun, the show’s mechanics are maintained by a crew of 30 technicians, who must wear wetsuits to dive and check on underwater illumination.

Views

The terrace of the Parasol Down Bar, located at the foot of the sweeping escalators, offers the greatest view of the Lake of Dreams performance.

Only paying clients may use the patio’s outside seating, which is lovely. At night, there is typically a wait for a table. Lake of Dreams Cocktail is a trademark cocktail, “Absolut Elyx Vodka, Le Gran Courtâge Brut Rosé, raspberry and lemon,” topped with edible gold powdered raspberries at this establishment. As of this update, it’s available for the reasonably priced price of $19 (compared to other casinos in Las Vegas). Other cocktails, including the Cranberry Mojito and the Cucumber Mule, cost $17 apiece.

Overlook Lounge (formerly dubbed “Parasol Up”) is a new luxury lounge with excellent performance views.

Before and after the performance, you may enjoy the beautiful scenery from the patios of several of the resort’s restaurants. If seeing the lake show is on your bucket list, go to the Lakeside or SW Steakhouse.

Despite the lake’s enormous size, its bottom is barely four feet deep.

About 300 of the 5,500+ lights are strobe lights tucked up in the foliage.

At Wynn’s Lake of Dreams, previous performances

To date, a frog singing “I’ve got pals in low places,” a twirling female dancing, two balls launching across the lake, and more have been among the rotating performances before the multi-million dollar show update. Rhapsody, Lady Marmalade, Fiesta Fatale, Oh Yeah, and Low Rider were all previous show themes.

“Oh, What a Wonderful World” has also been playing. Some of the displays included 30-foot-wide dancing flowers.

The following songs have previously appeared on the show:

Music video by Madonna for “Lucky Star.”

Frankie Valli, “Can’t Take My Eyes Off You,”

She’s magical in every way possible, according to Sting.

According to the Las Vegas Sun, the show’s mechanics are maintained by a crew of 30 technicians, who must wear wetsuits to dive and check on underwater illumination.

Wynn Encore: Another Free Show

The botanical gardens of the Wynn are another free amusement option at the resort. These exotic plants and flowers are comparable to those at the Bellagio’s Conservatory.

The hotel’s horticultural crew changes up the plants and decorations for each holiday. When you walk out of the casino and into this peaceful oasis, you’ll find a world apart from the hectic, smoky atmosphere only a few feet away.
