In a world where almost every casino serves brunch, the Tropicana Hotel & Casino’s buffet stands out as a unique exception.
Savor is located on the casino’s main floor, beyond the Starbucks and food court areas. In contrast to the mega buffets that dominate the Las Vegas Strip, Savor is much more intimate. As a result, there will be fewer crowds and less time spent around the food booths.
Savor makes up for its lack of space with a stunning, modern aesthetic. Enormous windows are looking out into the resort’s tropical vegetation in the 5,000+ square foot dining room, which was completely remodeled from the resort’s previous Beach Café.
You may also dine on the buffet terrace if the weather permits.

The Tropicana Buffet’s Price and Hours
This is a cinch, as the Buffet only serves brunch:
Every day from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m.: $23.99
Because of the high quality and quantity of custom stations available at this price, I believe it’s a bargain (more on that below).
There is an 8.25 percent tax on meals on the Las Vegas Strip, so a buffet for two people would cost $51.94 after-tax (and before a tip).
As for children, There is an $11.99 fee for children ages 4 to 10.
Those aged 11 and above must pay the full adult fee of $23.99, while children under three dine for free.
The Tropicana has a to-go buffet option, which is growing increasingly popular on the Strip. It costs $17.99 for a one-box buffet fill-up here.
The last thing to consider is that buffet costs tend to go up during the holiday season. I don’t know exactly how much the Thanksgiving breakfast will cost this year, but I know it cost $31.99 last year. Of course, new things were added to the menu.
Savor the Flavors of Tropicana’s Brunch Buffet
Breakfast and lunch foods are well-represented at this Buffet despite its small size. These foods were on the menu on my last visit, but they may no longer be available.
Crepes with mushrooms and spinach, blintzes with cheese, and a quiche with roasted tomatoes.
Specialty items such as lemon ricotta pancakes and chocolate brioche French toast were available in addition to the typical breakfast fare such as scrambled eggs, biscuits and gravy, hash browns, and bacon.
Eggs benedict, egg-white frittata, and smothered tater tot casserole were some of the other hot breakfast options. There were also individual plates of huevos rancheros, turkey sausage, and chicken n’ apple sausage.
Breakfast bagel sandwiches were also available for purchase. The cherry cobbler and apple fritter bread pudding were served with these in aluminum foil-wrapped containers.
Waffles Prepared Specifically for You
There is often a line at the made-to-order waffle counter, but the waffles are always fresh and interesting.
There are six distinct kinds of waffles to pick from, all freshly baked in front of your eyes:
- Compote, Chantilly cream, and apple butter go into an apple pie.
- Fruity Pebbles and Captain Crunch cereal with milk cream on Saturday mornings is a tradition.
- Espresso syrup, coffee cream, and dark roast crumble make a delicious pick-me-up drink.
- Vanilla cream, orange marmalade, and candied orange zest make up the Orange Creamsicle.
- Banana compote, Nutella, peanut butter ganache, and caramel are all included in this dessert.
- Blackberries, raspberries, blueberries, strawberries, and whipped cream make up the berry compote in this dish.
You may customize your waffle by adding or removing various toppings to suit your preferences.
Fresh papaya isn’t something you’ll find at most breakfast buffets on the Strip, but it’s a nice change of pace. Another more healthful alternative is yogurt and fruit parfait.
Bagels, freshly baked donuts (including a bear claw), a chocolate croissant, cookies (including some without added sugar), raspberry palmier cookies, cheese Danish, and a variety of muffins round out the selection of pastries, bread, and sweets.
While some brunch buffets may offer cinnamon buns and apple fritters together, Savor, the Brunch Buffet, keeps them separate in warm, hot pans. That, for some reason, enhances the flavor.
The typical omelet station is also available.
Pop’s Famous Fried Chicken and a variety of sushi, including prohibited rice, may be found on the “lunch” side of “brunch.” There you have it…
Pizza
Pizza isn’t exactly what you’d expect from a Las Vegas buffet.
Most Strip buffets provide three or four basic pizzas, such as cheese alone, pepperoni, and so on, in their pizza areas. You never know when they were manufactured since they’re constantly under a heat light.
The risk is that you will eat too much pizza when other options are available elsewhere on the buffet table. However, Savor, the pizza section of the Brunch Buffet in Las Vegas, is unlike any other buffet in the city.
When it comes to their pizzas, they’re made to order. Individual pizzas are what I’m referring to, and they’re being prepared right in front of you while you wait.
Pizzas with a Variety of Options
There are four varieties of pizza:
- Tomatoes, fresh mozzarella, basil, and olive oil make up the Neapolitan dish.
- Red sauce, mozzarella cheese, and beef and pork pepperoni make up the pepperoni.
- Goat cheese and radicchio garnish the roasted chicken breasts.
- Prosciutto: “Tomato and mozzarella finished with sliced prosciutto, arugula, olive oil” is how the menu describes this dish.
However, you aren’t confined to these pies in any way. For a freshly made-to-order pizza, just request that the pizza maker hold off on adding a certain ingredient or add one of the many available extra toppings (spinach, peppers, etc.).
Drinks
The coffee and orange juice are self-serve at the drink station, so you’ll have to get up and down often to replenish your supplies.
The full-service bar offers Bloody Marys for $3 and Mimosas for $2.

In what city is the Tropicana Hotel & Casino located?
Only breakfast is served at the Brunch Buffet. Originally known as “Savor, the Buffet,” it premiered in November 2017 as a regular casino buffet. It was open from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. and served three meals a day.
But in late 2018, they decided to discontinue their supper and lunch buffets and now just provide brunch instead.
Savor, the Buffet can concentrate on a smaller selection of foods since it only serves breakfast and does not attempt to recreate the conventional large-scale Las Vegas buffet experience.
With a beautiful, smaller eating room, Savor, the Brunch Buffet is a refreshing alternative to the enormous buffets lines the Strip.
