Las Vegas Monorail Stations & Stops on the Strip

If you’re staying at one of the six Strip hotels that have monorail stations or attending a conference at the Las Vegas Convention Center, then the Las Vegas monorail is an excellent transportation model for you.

On the east side of the Strip, all seven monorail stations are located.

As a result, customers staying in the Excalibur, Luxor, and Caesars Palace, for example, will have a longer walk to reach the casinos on the east side of the Strip.

The Las Vegas Monorail has seven stations:

  • MGM Grand
  • Paris/Bally’s
  • Flamingo
  • Harrah’s/The Linq
  • Las Vegas Convention Center
  • Westgate
  • Sahara Las Vegas

Clean, safe, and well-lit, each of the seven monorail stations in Las Vegas is. That is to say, they aren’t your typical New York City subway station: gloomy, foreboding, and deserted.

I feel safe taking my small children to and from these monorail stops at any time of day or night. To be clear, I mean before 8 p.m., since that’s when they go to bed). Las Vegas Monorail fares may be found here.

So let’s take a closer look at the seven monorail stations along the Las Vegas Strip, beginning at the southern end and working our way north.

Station MGM Grand

Located at the extreme eastern end of the huge MGM Grand site, the MGM Grand’s monorail station is much like all other stations.

This indicates that it’s a significant distance away from the Strip. From the walkway in front of the MGM Grand to the resort’s monorail station, it is exactly.38th of a mile.

If you’re staying at the MGM Grand and want to go to other parts of the Las Vegas Strip, such as the conference center, you should use the Monorail. When I stayed at the MGM Grand, I used the Monorail instead of taxis or the city of Las Vegas’ Deuce bus.

It is the nearest Las Vegas monorail station to the following hotels: Tropicana, Monte Carlo; Excalibur; Luxor; and Mandalay Bay.

Paris Station/ Bally’s

Because it is physically situated inside the Bally’s Hotel and Casino, this station should simply be called the “Bally’s” stop. From the Paris Las Vegas to the Bally’s station, it’s a somewhat long distance to walk. Paris and Bally’s, on the other hand, are owned as a single entity, so I suppose they might be considered a single stop.

The City Center (i.e. Aria, Waldorf Astoria, Vdara), Planet Hollywood, The Cosmopolitan, and the Bellagio are all walking from this monorail stop.

station named after the flamingo

Although it is approximately half a mile distant from Caesars Palace, the Flamingo Hotel and Casino’s rear station is officially referred to as the “Flamingo/Caesars Palace” station (.44 mile, to be exact).

When staying at the Cromwell, Caesars Palace, or Flamingo, the Flamingo Monorail Station is where you’ll want to get on and off.

Station Harrah’s/The Linq

The Harrah’s/Linq monorail station, unlike the Bally’s/Paris stop, which is simply Bally’s, is a legally called stop since the station stands almost perfectly between the two resorts.

If you want to visit the Linq Shopping Plaza or ride the High Roller Observation Wheel, this is the monorail station you should take.

You may get to this stop by a tram from the Mirage, Treasure Island, and Venetian or Palazzo hotels.

Convention Center of Las Vegas

This monorail station is a short walk from the Las Vegas Conference Center’s south entrance, making it a popular choice for convention guests. When the Monorail provides a speedy and economical method to be dropped off in front of the Convention Center, may the ignorant beware of battling Strip traffic in their automobile.

The Las Vegas Convention Center is just in front of this elevated station.

The Westgate Las Vegas Resort and Casino, a historic Las Vegas landmark and previous home of Elvis Presley, is off the Strip and away from the activity. Because of this, Westgate’s hotel room costs are lower than those of other Strip establishments, which makes it an enticing alternative for me.

Westgate’s monorail station may be found towards its northernmost terminus. When you first arrive at the hotel’s main door, turn left.

The Sahara in Las Vegas

The Las Vegas monorail’s last stop and the point at which it turns around and heads back toward the city.

However, a pedestrian bridge crosses Paradise Road to let you into the Sahara Las Vegas, just behind the station.

Monorail may reach the Stratosphere Hotel and Casino from this station.

Is There a New Monorail Station in Las Vegas?

AFTER YEARS OF PREPARATION, the LV Monorail is still attempting to reach Mandalay Bay from the south.

Between Luxor and Mandalay Bay, a proposed stop will be placed. Initial plans were for this additional wing to be finished in time to host the inauguration of the Las Vegas Raiders Stadium. Still, funding issues have created a holdup in the project.

We don’t know whether or when this new stop will be added as of this writing.

Fremont Street and McCarran International Airport have long been spoken about as possible destinations for the Las Vegas Monorail. For the time being, these seven stops will have to do until those reports are proven to be true.
