The Bacchanal Buffet at Caesars Palace reigns supreme in a city famed for its buffets.
There isn’t another buffet with 25,000 square feet of space, 500 daily options, 600 seats, and a $17 million price tag. Only a little reduction in the admission cost will be granted to you.
The Bacchanal Buffet, one of Caesars Palace’s 11 restaurants, was named “Best Buffet in Las Vegas” by USA Today and the Las Vegas Review-Journal when it opened in 2012. There has never been a game-changer like the Bacchanal in the buffet sector.

When it comes to quality, variety, décor, and affordability, it’s the best buffet you’ll ever have. There will be more to come on this subject in the future, just like a fine dining establishment, except needing to bring your food to the table.
In May 2021, after a $2.4 million renovation, Bacchanal will reopen for supper only after the protracted Covid suspension. The brunch buffet was reopened at the beginning of September 2021, although only on weekends.
Reservations may be made through OpenTable.com. However, they are often sold out. Even if you have a reservation, you should expect to wait for a table. OpenTable reservations still require you to check in at the front desk, where a queue awaits. Customers have reported a two-hour delay on holiday weekends.
Pricing & Hours for the Bacchanal Buffet
Non-holiday pricing and operating hours for the Bacchanal Buffet are currently as follows: a la carte.
Brunch (Fri – Sun) 9 AM – 3 PM | $64.99 |
Dinner (Mon – Thurs) 4 PM – 10 PM | $79.99 |
Dinner (Fri – Sun) 3 PM – 10 PM | $79.99 |
The 8.38 percent tax is not included in these rates. After taxes, a two-person supper buffet would cost $173.38. (but before tip).
Monday – Thursday (8 AM to 3 PM) | $49.99 |
Friday – Sunday (8 AM to 3 PM) | $59.99 |
After-tax, a two-person breakfast brunch costs $140.87.
Kids under the age of four are free of charge. Weekday brunches are $20 less expensive for kids 5 to 10 years old, $28 cheaper for weeknight meals, $38 less for weekend dinners, and $30 less for weekend brunches for those under 10.
Guests are also asked to leave the buffet within 90 minutes. Two-hour time limitations are nothing uncommon, but this is a new low point. You’ll even see your arrival time at the buffet written down in the fine print of your bill. You should be aware of this, even though we don’t know exactly how it will be implemented.
In 2022, the Bacchanal Buffet will provide special pricing for holidays and other events.
Caesars Palace often charges extra for the buffet during special events like the Super Bowl weekend and major holidays like Easter, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. The least expensive option is $89.99. The Bacchanal serves a different cuisine for holidays such as Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s Eve. For instance, the most recent New Year’s Eve Buffet cost $129.99.
new menu items
Food carts that look like dim sum carts, manned by a waiter, are available at buffets. You can get PB&Js with foie gras, smoky seafood boil bags, and wagyu hotdogs from the food vendors.
Along with the multi-million dollar facelift, the Bacchanal Buffet features numerous new menu items and several table-side mobile food carts unseen at any other buffet in town.
Turmeric grilled baby octopus with XO chili jam, cheeseburger bao, chipotle bourbon barbecue oysters, and duck carnitas quesadillas are just a few of the new dishes to hit the menu this week.
Traditional salad bars are absent from the new vegan menu, but there are plenty of other alternatives for those who don’t want to give up meat or dairy.
Desserts include:
- Earl grey mousse.
- Salted caramel popcorn.
- Death by chocolate cupcakes.
- A yuzu pie.
- An ube chiffon cake.
- Gelato in over ten different varieties.
However, buffet staples like prime rib, steaming crab legs, chilled crab legs, and more will still be available.
The latest brunch offerings are red velvet waffles, birthday cake pancakes, truffle mushroom egg bits, crab Florentine Benedict, plant-based sausages, and plant-based sausages. (We’ll get to it in a while.)
Bacchanal Buffet Unlimited Drinks
There was a $19.99 “unlimited drink” upgrade available until recently, but it seems to have been withdrawn.
It included unlimited draught beer, house wine (red or white), red or white sangria, champagne, and mimosas at $19.99 per person. Coors Light and Blue Moon were the only beers available on a recent trip.
The Dinner Menu at Caesars Palace’s Bacchanal Buffet
As they term them “show kitchens,” the buffet has a variety of stations.
Small meals are king at the Bacchanal, instead of the massive servings often seen at other restaurants.
Caesars Palace’s condiments, for example, are a work of art in and of themselves. Whole grain mustard, Dijon mustard, and purple violet mustard, for example, are all available at the deli.
Then again, you’re not interested in mustard, so here’s a short look at each of the kitchens on display.
From time to time, “the chef has a whim,” says Caesars, who claims that their menu is always changing. There is no way for us to provide you with an exact list of the evening buffet’s menu, but we can tell you that most of the things mentioned below may be found at each station.
Meat
Please note that the menu changes frequently, so some of the items on this page may not be available at any given time.
However, if you’re a meat lover, you’ll enjoy dishes such as fresh-carved American steamship wagyu, fresh-carved smoked brisket, slab bacon, prime rib, grill tri-tip, BBQ duck wings, rotisserie chicken, roast turkey, wood-fired grilled quail (served with a Chipolte cherry sauce),
Wood-grilled lamb t-bone, caramelized pig belly, and roasted bone marrow are some of the delectable options available on individual platters. A full roast suckling pig is also on the menu. You may want either skin or meat.
In addition to a peppercorn sauce and au jus, barbecue sauce to choose from.
Chicken and waffles, potatoes, wagon wheel mac n cheese, blue lake green beans, and twister french fries are just a few of the delectable side items on the menu. The Chinese cheeseburger boa is an amusing combination of American and Chinese cuisine.
Latin America/Mexico
The Bacchanal takes things up a notch from the typical taco bar you’ll find at most Vegas buffets when it comes to Latin cuisine.
Pozole Rojo (a Mexican pig stew), criollos (Venezuelan style fried plantains), Jicama citrus salad, Birria (slow-cooked beef shoulder), Chili tornados, Carne asada tacos, duck carnitas quesadillas, tacos a pastor (pork), and copes with Camarones are some of the other dishes on the menu.
The Bacchanal’s Made-to-order Mexican Street Corn station is a standout among buffets, where you may pick from a variety of flavors, including elite, blazing hot, takis, and roasted garlic & cilantro.
Chile and lime Duros (a Mexican puffed wheat snack) and Chicarron are also available (fried pork belly or rinds). Chips and salsa (normal and habanero) are included in guacamole.
You may also choose from three different Mexican drinks, another unique feature of this establishment. In addition to Pina Aqua Fresca and Guava Aqua Fresca, you can now get Horchata, a classic sweet-rice Mexican beverage, at these self-serve kiosks (non-alcoholic).
Mediterranean
In this area, you’ll discover a variety of small plates of Baba ganoush, falafel, Labneh, tabbouleh salad, pita bread, manakish (a flatbread that is covered in zaatar), and chicken pita.
It includes manchego, smoked gouda, blue cheese, marinated bocconcini and mozzarella, and muenster on the cheeseboard.
Honey, whole grain mustard, toasted almonds, fig jam, dried apricots, and dates are among the condiments available before digging into the charcuterie board.
On the charcuterie board you’ll find: Pamplona, saucisson sec, sopressata, prosciutto di parma, and Genoa Salami.
Here you may get a variety of bread such as cheddar corn muffins, white chocolate brioche, breadsticks, pumpernickel, and pretzels.
Individual plates such as Pea Toast (“multi-grain bread, watermelon radish, sunflower seeds”), Coconut Carrot Gazpacho, tomato & basil tartar (“Roma tomatoes, shallot, parmesan, whole grain mustard”), and Hearts of Palm roll (“vegan mayonnaise, celery, Old Bay, dill, bibb lettuce”) are not available at your local Golden Corral.
Roasted cauliflower salad, Orzo salad (cucumber, peppadew, feta cheese), Cleopatra Salad, and Red cabbage pepperonata are some of the hot and cold salads available here.
Crispy Fried Polenta, Pan-seared white fish, cheese tortellini, broccoli rabe and cannellini beans, shakshuka (an egg and tomato sauce dish) with a small piece of bread for dipping, garlic herb butter and parmesan breadsticks, marinara sauce, and a thick plot full of “Grandma’s Meatballs” are all on the Italian side of things.
Wood-fired pizzas may be found to the right of that. These all have a hefty look to them. Pistachio mortadella pizza with mozzarella, ricotta, garlic, arugula, Margherita pizza, a truffle mushroom pizza, spicy sausage (with Calabrian chilis), and your regular pepperoni was on the menu on this particular day.
Another wonderful addition is the selection of non-alcoholic red and white sangrias.
Asian
This particular portion of the buffet already has a wide range of choices.
Spicy Lao sausage, vegetable butter curry, Vietnamese fried fish, and Thai pork skewer are just a few of the international cuisines you’ll find at these restaurants.
There are sesame balls with crispy beef and crab rangoons and Char Sui (barbecue pork), and Chinese roasted pig belly in Chinese cuisine.
Chicken cooked in spicy gochujang sauce, rice cake tteokbokki (a Korean stir-fried rice cake), Jap Chae (glass noodles stir fry), and Kalbi short ribs are among the Korean-themed meals served at the restaurant (garlic & soy marinated ribs). Banchan is a variety of vegetable side dishes popular in Korean cuisine. Foods available at this location include:
- Daikon (a Japanese root vegetable).
- Black beans (a Korean condiment).
- Korean-style kimchi (a spicy Korean condiment).
Sushi options include tofu sushi, salmon box sushi, tuna nigiri, freshwater eel nigiri, Ebi Nagri (sweet shrimp), yellowtail nigiri, Spam musubi, and the “California Dreaming Roll.” Inari sushi is also available (a Cali roll with tuna, salmon, and yellowtail).
In addition to Udon Noodles, Miso Soup, Tonkotsu Ramen (pork broth with bamboo), Egg Flower Soup, Hot & Sour Soup, and Vietnamese Pho, the renowned Asian soup station offers six more kinds. Dried pork, pickled turnip, lime wedges, century egg, Thai basil, scallions, cilantro, or jalapenos are some of the toppings you may choose from.
Seafood
You’ll find everything from chilled snow crab legs to steaming snow crab legs, lobster claws to chilled Jonah crab claws, Penn Cove mussels on the half-shell, oysters on the half shell, and green lip mussels on the half-shell in this kitchen.
From the conventional cocktail sauce to Cajun remoulade to Atomic horseradish, these region’s condiments cover the gamut (among others).
We had hot, fresh lobster bisque soup from a food cart when we were there recently.
The sweet corn chowder with lump crab and garlic cheddar croutons, BBQ oysters, and cedar plank salmon were also presented on separate plates. Spaghetti misto, baby octopus with turmeric and red curry sauce, and red curry shrimp and grits (fried calamari with zucchini and lemon).
Whelk (a marine snail) and enormous Cajun Poached Prawns were served on a subsequent visit.
Salads
There is no normal salad bar at the Bacchanal Buffet. Salads and hot and cold vegetable dishes may be found directly to the right of the carving station. In addition, the other stations’ cold salads are interchangeable with those supplied here.
There is wild rice mushroom pilaf, quinoa-filled sweet potatoes, Beluga lentils, sweet peppers & onions, cauliflower & broccolini, Vadouvan roasted carrots, loaded potato salad, mojito watermelon, and a sweet corn salad in this section.
Desserts
Where do you begin?
You may want to try it with the Vietnamese coffee creameux Ube chiffon cake, carrot coupe, mango rice pudding (served in little, charming Chinese to-go boxes), Earl Grey mousse with grapefruit sashimi, yuzu tart, and green tea & lime cheesecake are some of the desserts you won’t find at lesser Vegas buffets.
You’ll find little cups of tiramisu and other cheesecakes (including Oreo and speculoos cheesecake) and salted caramel mousse in elegantly trimmed large displays. Plates of cupcakes sit next to these arrangements (carrot cake, death by chocolate, confetti, and a cute salted caramel cupcake served in a cup that looks like a movie theater popcorn box).
The “Sunny-side up egg” is a very amusing and distinctive treat. Mango cubes are placed on top of sweetened yogurt and sprinkled with vanilla powder, giving the meal an egg-like appearance.
Mint Oreo chocolate mousse, banana cream pie, and crème Brulee round out the selection of desserts. There are also vegan strawberry cakes and chocolate pot de creme. Candied apples on a stick are also offered, as is creme de pistachio.
With a variety of delights such as Mint Oreo chocolate mousse, banana cream pie, strawberry shortcake on display, as well as crème Brulee and a vegan strawberry cake, there is something for everyone at this event.
Hand-scooped gelato and sorbet may have a wait. These include strawberry cheesecake, Oreos, Madagascar Vanilla Bean, Roasted Banana Espresso Chip, Belgian Chocolate, and Coconut. Sorbets included strawberry and Alfonzo mango, and torta di Limone (lemon pie) (lemon pie).
A waffle cone or a cup are two options for serving. M&Ms, Oreos, and the like are just some of the toppings available.
The dessert crepe station is another highlight of the dessert area. Nutella, chocolate, and caramel are available as fillings, while toppings include mixed berries, whipped cream, and bananas foster sauce.
Try the chocolate hazelnut beignet or the S’mores bar if you have space.
Cheesecake, chocolate mousse, and lemon bars were all under the “NSA” section, meaning “no sugar added.”
At Cosmopolitan’s Wicked Spoon Buffet, pricing and menu items are available.
Menu for Bacchanal Brunch Buffet
Where else except the Bacchanal can you get a Pineapple Turmeric Smoothie or a S’mores Waffle for your brunch buffet?
On a recent visit since the reopening, you may discover the following:
Everything from BBQ Twister Fries to BBQ Sweet Corn Chowder to Green Beans to Mashed Potatoes to Denver Scrambled Eggs is on the menu at this establishment.
Tofu scrambles and plant-based sausages may appeal to vegans. A “Soyrizo Hash” of potatoes, edamame, sweet potatoes, small bell peppers, and parsley was also served.
Another benefit of the Bacchanal Brunch Buffet is the opportunity to try more unusual dishes, such as truffle mushroom egg bits or a crab Florentine Benedict, while still receiving your more traditional morning favorites, such as oatmeal and cream of wheat.
Oysters and shrimp cocktails are also on the menu, as are bagels and lox.
A Buffet of Eggs and Omelets
Choosing your egg type (whole eggs or simply whites) and cooking technique is the first step at this made-to-order counter (which is oddly situated amongst Italian meals) (fried, poached, or omelet).
Next, you may add meat (like bacon or ham) and/or vegetables (such as peppers and onions) (onion, spinach, tomato, bell peppers, jalapeno, scallions, and mushrooms).
Finally, you can add a variety of cheeses to your dish (if desired). Sharp cheddar, Parmigiano-Reggiano, pepper jack, and mozzarella are some of the most popular cheeses.
You may choose from Dragon Fruit, Pineapple Turmeric, and an Apple Kale Spinach smoothie to cleanse your system after a long day out.
Waffle & Pancake Bar
You can either select a pre-made taste or create your own at this mouthwatering location. The following are some of the pre-made options:
- Pancakes with green tea lilikoi syrup and toasted coconuts
- Birthday Cake Pancakes with vanilla icing syrup and colorful sprinkles
- There are chocolate chips and cream cheese icing on this Red Velvet Waffle.
- Graham cracker crumbs, chocolate chips, and marshmallow fluff make up the s’mores waffle.
- Vanilla whipped cream and cajeta caramel sauce on Banana Foster French Toast.
Alternatively, you may mix and match different toppings and components to make your unique variation or combination.
Desserts for a Brunch
Even if the S’mores Waffle did not fulfill your sweet craving, there are many more desserts and sweets to pick from at the restaurant.
In this section, you’ll find a variety of sweet and savory pastries such as egg tart and croissant (regular and almond).
The desserts on exhibit here are served in small individual servings, including Vietnamese coffee creameux, mango gelee, rose petal-whipped cream raspberry gelee, and ube chiffon cake.
Cone-shaped desserts, including “death by chocolate” cupcakes, strawberry shortcake, candied apples, mini donuts, strawberry cheesecake, rainbow cake with apricot jam, the mango tart dish that looks like a sunny-side-up egg, mint Oreo chocolate mousse, Banana cream pie, and chocolate whoopie pie, complete this section.
Honeydew, cantaloupe, and watermelon, as well as an Ambrosia salad, are all available here.
The made-to-order dessert crepe counter is almost as popular as the dinner buffet. Nutella, chocolate, caramel, mixed berries, whipped topping, or bananas foster sauce are some toppings available for this dessert.
The hand-scooped gelato and sorbet shop is also available for breakfast when it comes to desserts.
Fresh juices, teas, and other beverages are available. It’s a good perk for coffee lovers who don’t want to continuously ask for refills since they’ll leave you with a full pot at your table.
Buffet Brunch with Lunch-Item Selections
Many of these items on the lunch menu overlap with those on the nighttime buffet.
At breakfast, the carving station provides prime rib, bacon, honey-glazed ham, turkey, and other poultry and meats, including brisket and Kielbasa. Individual plates of Baby Moco Loco were located to the right of this (beef patty, onion gravy, fried quail egg & furikake).
You’ll find a variety of bread in this department, such as pretzel bread and walnut raisin pumpernickel bread.
There are various deli meats here, such as genoa salami, sopressata and prosciutto di parmadates. You’ll also find figs, almonds, apricots, cashews, mustard, blue, gouda, and other gourmet cheese. This part is to the right of the charcuterie section. Fresh blackberries and raspberries were also available.
On this particular day, pizzas featured a truffle mushroom pizza, a breakfast pizza, and pepperoni.
It’s the Asian section in the back that has dishes like Chinese barbecue pork, a vegetable spring roll, Szechuan fish and beef, japchae (Korean noodles), Kalbi short ribs, and Korean chicken, as well as assorted banchan and a variety of Asian-inspired desserts like Bang Bang Shrimp and Soy Sauce Chicken.
